"The Chinese Embassy is located in Freetown, so we are all 'citizens' of Freetown and are obliged to contribute to make Freetown a better place." The Embassy had been working on projects such as the Second Juba Bridge and the 3.2km Ring Road, which brought great convenience to the citizens of Freetown. "The Embassy stands ready to maintain good cooperation with FCC in the future."

Mayor Aki-Sawyerr sincerely thanked the Chinese government for providing assistance to Sierra Leone in various fields and the Chinese Embassy for the support to FCC. She said that the Chinese Embassy provided a lot of office equipment to enhance the capacity building of FCC at the beginning of her tenure. These solar streetlights would be distributed to communities that perform well in the "The Cleanest Zone Competition". She wished that the citizens of Freetown could maintain and improve the environment of Freetown beginning with themselves, and "looks forward to continuing to cooperate with the Chinese Embassy."
