Chinese Ambassador Hu Zhangliang Paid a Courtesy Call on Hon. Chief Minister David John Francis

On May 29, 2019, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Sierra Leone, H.E. Mr. Hu Zhangliang paid a courtesy call on Professor David John Francis, Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Ambassador Hu said that China and Sierra enjoy profound traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation. H.E. President Xi Jinping and H.E. President Julius Maada Bio outlined a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side will work with the Sierra Leonean side to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and further deepen bilateral relations, so as to push bilateral cooperation in various fields to a new level.

Hon. Chief Minister Francis recalled the occasion when he accompanied H.E. President Bio on the state visit to China and attending the FOCAC Beijing summit. The Hon. Chief Minister praised China's development achievements and the experiences of governance. “Sierra Leonean side is willing to work with China and actively participate in the joint building of the ‘Belt and Road’ to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results,” Hon. Chief Minister Francis said.
