On 14th March,2024,the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone organized its first session of Face to Face with China Event in 2024, representatives of major media groups and friendship Organizations participated in the event.

Ambassador Wang Qing introduced the recent state visit of President Julius Maada Bio to China, and shared a deep interpretation of the important content and historical significance of this visit from the perspectives of strengthening the guidance of the heads of states, consolidating traditional friendship, deepening practical cooperation, and strengthening strategic communication. Ambassador Wang stated that this visit, more than 50 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, has once again opened a new era for consolidating bilateral relations and deepening practical cooperation. China is willing to work with Sierra Leone to fully implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, work together and promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Sierra Leone to a new level.

A short film highlighting President Bio's important activities during his visit to China was shown at the reception, which was warmly received by the media present. The participants highly valued the significance of the visit and hoped that the results of the visit would take root as soon as possible for the betterment of the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Wang and diplomats of the Embassy also introduced the "Two Sessions", the Central Foreign Affairs Work Conference, and the situation of Chinese-funded projects that are of concern to the Sierra Leonean people in response to their inquiries.
